  • The Frequency x Noteable team, a sub-brand of Spotify’s Music team focused on black musicians, wanted to create a writing camp focused on black artists, producers, and writers on the rise from the Houston area. They wanted to host a 3-day writing camp & after party that was a container for unique hometown collabs in an environment that felt relaxed, authentic, welcoming and most of all - expanded the Spotify brand and artist presence in Houston, while sharing that with the audience.

STYLE

Artist Writing Camp and Branded Party

In collaboration with the Frequency x Noteable team, also known as FxN, we passionately curated an unforgettable artist writing camp and branded party at Wireroad Studios in Houston, TX.

Bringing together 13 artists who had never collaborated before, primarily focused on rap music genres, this event transcended traditional studio setups. Spotify's hiring of a content team, coupled with our production and design expertise, created not just a space for music creation but an environment capturing the authentic essence of the artists' journey.

Fueled by the inspiration of luxury and black excellence, we metamorphosed a plain studio into a branded Spotify haven. Every detail was meticulously crafted, from impactful floor decals, custom Spotify art doubling as signage, branded studio labels, to a bespoke backdrop for interviews. This transformation ensured not just content creation but an emotional connection to the Spotify brand.

Beyond the aesthetics, our focus on Houston's rich culture extended to culinary experiences. Each day's lunch catering showcased the city's diverse culinary offerings, impressing clients and guests alike. The fusion of food, carefully selected furniture and design, and immersive decor reflected the vibrancy of Houston and the FxN team’s brand.

For gifting, we passionately curated luxurious boxes that went beyond expectations. Hand-poured candles from a local black-owned business, branded fans to combat the Houston heat, and a luxe Telfar x Eastpak bag – a symbol of black-owned luxury imported from the UK – all wrapped in sleek, black, branded boxes with a touch of floral elegance.

The grand finale was a vibrant party for the artists, local industry insiders, and Spotify's close associates. With a Houston Backyard Barbecue ambiance, we transformed the back patio into a realm of excitement. From day to night, lights, a spectacular A/V setup, an additional bar, and strategic rearrangements created an unparalleled experience.

In collaboration with the Frequency x Noteable team, Creative Reserve passionately crafted an extraordinary event, building lasting relationships, expanding Spotify's presence in an untapped city, and delivering an experience that left an indelible mark on the Houston music scene.
